Analysis of homepage for 2 E-commerce websites: including comparisons and features improvement

 Introduction:

 Hello, this blog is going to present the difference between two E-commerce websites and suggest some improvement that can be done to some feature. The first website is going to be Amazon. And the second one is going to be AliExpress.


AMAZON:

When you first enter the Amazon website, you might be overwhelmed with all the options. But once you start skimming through, you will find out that it is rather easier than you thought. 


1-Hopmepage
















2-search bar:
You can find it at the top of the screen. And with that, you can type in whatever you are looking for, and it will show you the results.




3-Categories:

You can find this beneath the search bar if you have something in mind but are not sure what to look for.


 

4-Basket:

After you select an item, you will be taken to another menu that is called "Basket" for more details about the product and to finalise your purchase.




5-Traking orders:

This tool is useful as it helps you make sure your order is being delivered to the right place. Also, you can return or buy things with it.



6-Creating an account

The purpose of an account is not only to store you personal information, but also by creating your account you will be able to share your favourite products with others on the website or the app.




7-Amazon prime:
You can subscribe to amazon prime to have your packages delivered earlier that the regular subscription.

AliExpress:

When you enter the AliExpress website, you are going to notice that there are lots of things to work with. You might also notice that it has some sort of colour theme.

These are placed on the left of your screen. It can be useful to get you started with your shopping.


4-Suggestions:

If you scroll down a bit, you will see that there are some suggestions to start with.


5-Result page:

After you type in what you are searching for, a page with all the results will appear in front of you.

 

6-Cart:

Once you have selected the product you will be transferred to another page called "Cart" to complete your purchase.

7-Account:

You can also create an account to save your personal information and process and confirm your order.




What are the difference between them:

In my personal view and experience, I prefer to use Amazon. However, that does not mean that I dislike AliExpress. Furthermore, AliExpress needs to be neater when using it on a mobile phone. Whereas Amazon is neater and more organized when using it on both the mobile phone and the website. On the other hand, AliExpress has more pleasant products to sell. Moreover, both are easy to start selling your own products with. In conclusion, both websites are safe and enjoyable to shop wit

I have also chosen websites that sell clothes since I am creating a similar website.    White Fox boutique: This product page is quite simple. Both the description and image are available and in good quality. And the description is short and simple. Also, you can easily navigate your way through the pages.
